US Open Golf, Tiger Woods the Favorite Underdog
TORREY PINES --
Most people who follow professional golf will tell you that Tiger Woods has absolutely no chance to win the 2008 US Open Golf Championships held in Torrey Pines this weekend.
As you may have heard, Tiger Woods is returning to competitive action playing in his first tournament since he played 2 months ago in a very exciting Masters down in Augusta, Georgia.
Tiger Woods had surgery on a left knee that had been surgically repaired several years ago. The surgery kept Woods out of action for 8 weeks, missing several tournaments leading up to the Open. While speaking to the press on Tuesday afternoon, Tiger admitted he wasn't feeling strong enough nor balanced enough to walk a complete 18-hole golf course.
Most betting parlors believe Woods stands a better chance of missing the Open cut like he did at Winged Foot 2 years back than he does of winning the Open. View all of the US Open Golf betting odds here.
Some say a win at Torrey Pines this weekend will represent Tiger Wood's greatest victory of all. We are not in complete agreement with that, however, if Tiger prevails, this could be one nice payout for a lucky gambler betting on the best underdog.
