Easter Sunday Slowdown at Online Casinos
GIBRALTAR --
For Christians across the globe, today is Easter Sunday, a time to celebrate the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. It is typically the most well-attended Sunday church service of the year for Christians. For online casinos, its a chance to take a break from all of the heavy spring break web traffic.
Each year on this day, as Christians get togethor to celebrate the Easter holiday, online casinos typically see an 80% drop in attendance, compared to a typical Sunday during the rest of the year.
"Easter Day is actually worse for online casinos than Christmas, very few Christians will play online casino games on this day", said Rick Pearson, a customer service manager for a top online casino based in Gibraltar.
"We usually send most of our customer service reps home on Easter, the office becomes like a ghost-town", he chuckled.
Some online casinos will offer enormous deposit bonuses to new players on Easter, where players can practically play free the entire day without depositing many dollars.
With a smile on his face, Pearson said, "Easter is a day for us to relax. The hussle and bussle of spring break poker action and daily tournaments becomes exhausting."
