Investigators Release Sun Cruz Casino Death Autopsy
PORT CANAVERAL, FL --
According to published reports out this evening, Florida investigators have released the autopsy of a 49-year old man who was found dead in a bathroom aboard a Sun Cruz Casino ship based in Port Canaveral, Florida.
Over the weekend, the Sun Cruz gambling ship was headed back into port when a passenger informed crew-members that he had found a dead body in the bathroom. Initial reports by local media speculated of a possible murder on the high-seas.
The man found was James Burgess, who was discovered on-the-ground bleeding in a restroom facility aboard the ship. Paramedics immediately tried to recesitate the man, but he was pronounced dead-on-arrival at a local Space Coast hospital.
The suspicious death drew an enormous amount of media attention, but today's release of the autopsy shows a different picture. It appears the man actually died of natural causes while onboard. Investigators are expected to proclaim the death not the result of foul-play.
The Sun Cruz casino ship in Port Canaveral has over 600 slot machines and 35 gaming tables, enough space to entertain over 1,000 passengers.
