Flooding Passes, Riverboat Casino Re-Opens
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI --
After being shut down for a month due to heavy midwestern rains resulting in the Mississippi River rising above flood levels, the President Casino riverboat will reopen on Wednesday.
Pinnacle Entertainment was forced to close its St. Louis casino when river waters topped levees and flooded the casino dockage. The last few weeks have been spent cleaning the recently remodeled casino, and clearing the nearby streets of debris from the floods.
Casino figures showed an 82% drop in June admissions, obviously attributable to the flood and subsequent closing.
Pinnacle notified the Missouri Gaming Commission of the reopening today.
The operation contains 30 table games, a poker room, and over 800 slots.
