Online Casinos Announce McCain Lieberman Betting Odds
WASHINGTON, D.C. --
As discussions heat-up over who John McCain will choose as his running mate, speculators are asking "what are the odds?". As you know, online casinos have recently taken a great interest in offering their customers betting odds in the celebrity and political arenas. You can even bet on where the next hurricane will hit this summer season.
Today, the online casinos have announced the odds of a possible John McCain / Joe Lieberman ticket for presidential race. Will John McCain, now the leading contender for the 2008 GOP, offer the vice presidency to Sen. Joe Lieberman, Connecticut's self-styled "independent Democrat"?
According to political insiders, the biggest drawback of a potential McCain / Lieberman ticket is the age factor. Does Lieberman's age represent a possible liability to the McCain ticket? We all know McCain himself is no spring-chicken; choosing Lieberman would only seal the 'Old Men' ticket.
Another issue that could deter McCain from selecting Lieberman is the possibility the duo presents too-much of a hard-line ticket for November. Both men have staunchly supported President George W. Bush during the Iraq campaign. They also supported the surge and troop increases.
The one advantage Joe Lieberman brings to the table is the Jewish vote. If McCain selects Lieberman, its a sure bet the duo will get the majority of the Jewish/Hebrew electorate.

I give the odds of Joe Liebermann running for VP of the republican Party a 1 in 70 chance.
Something really wacky would have to happen for Joe to run as VP for the Republicans.
Ask Joe? he'll tell ya straight out.
That's why it's like one in 70. Smarty Jones had better odds of winning the Triple Crown then Joe running for VP. |
