Isle of Capri Closes Mississippi Casino Temporarily

Isle of Capri Casinos, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISLE) announced yesterday that as of 3:00 AM Central Standard Time its casino destination in Natchez, Mississippi has been closed temporarily due to flooding of the Mississippi River.
"We have been working closely with local officials to ensure the safety of our guests and team members and we appreciate the efforts of both city officials and law enforcement representatives.
At this point, the Mississippi River has reached levels where containment measures are no longer a possibility," Jack Sours, vice president and general manager, said.
"We are working closely with our management staff to ensure that our team members are not adversely impacted and we have adequate insurance in place to cover the closure."
Isle of Capri Casinos owns 18 casino properties across the United States. They own and operate casinos in Biloxi, Lula and Natchez, Mississippi; Lake Charles, Louisiana; Bettendorf, Davenport, Marquette and Waterloo, Iowa; Boonville, Caruthersville and Kansas City, Missouri, two casinos in Black Hawk, Colorado, and a casino and harness track in Pompano Beach, Florida. The company also has a small stake in the international casino gaming arena.
