Hoosier Park Casino Set to Open
ANDERSON, INDIANA --
Hoosier Park Casino is entering the final stages of preparation to open, and expectation is that an invitation-only event on May 29th will lead the way into a permanent opening on June 2nd.
The casino is expected to open at 9 a.m. on the 2nd, and remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Official approval from the Indiana Gaming Commission is still needed, but at this point is considered only a formality.
The casino is a plush facility and will contain 2000 gaming machines. The floor area is 92,000 square feet, and features vaulted ceilings and an elevated bar in the center.
Designed to blend horse racing and slots with elegant dining and entertainment, the facility will contain nine bars and restaurants, including a steakhouse and an elaborate buffet.
Concerts and other live entertainment will be held in indoor areas with seats for 500, and outdoor areas large enough for 5000 people.
Hopefully Hoosier Park will be one of the racinos that features a strong partnership between slots and racing management, working together to achieve the best possible gambling atmosphere. Those racinos with contentious relationships between horsemen and slots management are doomed to fall behind the more enlightened facilities.
