Canterbury Racetrack and Card Club Falls Short
ST. PAUL, MN --
In a press release today, Canterbury Park Holding Corporation disclosed 4th quarter 2007 earnings along with forward-looking statements. Investors were displeased as the company said revenues had dropped over 10% since 2006. The stock price was down about 2% today, falling to $9.65 per share. The company trades on AMEX under symbol ECP.
The company blames the loss of revenue on a new indoor smoking ban in the state of Minnesota, rising gas prices, a declining economy, and atypical weather in the region.
