Spring Tournament Poker Season in Full Swing
SAN JOSE, CA --
The spring poker season is in full-swing as several major tournaments are underway.
Have you ever dreamed of playing poker professionally? Well, now is the time to pony-up your entry fees because the 2011 poker season is happening and tournament circuits across America and Europe want you to play.
"I've been playing poker now seriously for about 3 years, I think I'm ready to make the jump to the professional level", said Ken Stillwater, a tour-level rookie hoping to make his professional debut next month at the World Poker Tour Event in San Jose.
Like many other prospects, Ken has been saving his money so he can afford the tour-level entry fees as well as the traveling expenses.
"I spent the entire winter working on an offshore oil drill in the Gulf, saving my money, playing poker just about every chance we got", he added.
The buy-in is typically in the $10,000 range and airfare/hotel/food/misc expenses can make the total trip exceed $15,000.
