Energy Drink Sponsors World Poker Tour Celebrity Event
LOS ANGELES --
Leading energy-drink maker, Who's Your Daddy, disclosed this afternoon that it will be an official sponsor of the WPT Celebrity Invitational being held March 1st through 3rd at the Commerce Casino in LA. The action will be aired on WPT's new network home later this summer. This event is not to be confused with the current tour event (LA Poker Classic) being played this week by professionals only.
This fashionable, invitation-only charity poker event attracts top Hollywood stars and professional athletes. In previous years, such people as Vince Vaughn, Ben Affleck, Paris Hilton, Pete Sampras, and Morgan Fairchild have all competed.
Who's Your Daddy energy drink is hoping the exposure will lead to better awareness of its brand. According to Dan Flayshmen, company president, "statistics prove that over 50 million people in the United States are poker fans. With sponsorship of this WPT event, I firmly believe that Who's Your Daddy energy drink is entering a new level popularity in the poker arena."
According to the tournament entry card, the 1st place winner will get $100,000 and a $25,000 seat in the WPT World Championship at The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas in April. The 10 final celebrities in play will each receive a cash donation payable to their charity of choice.
