Former WSOP Winner to Speak at CAP Euro Event
BARCELONA, SPAIN --
Former World Series of Poker champion, Jamie Gold, has agreed to speak at the 2008 CAP Euro convention, in Barcelona, Spain. As you know, the CAP Euro convention is the most-widely recognized online casino industry convention across the globe. The 2008 CAP Euro will take place the weekend of Saturday, September 27th, 2008.
According to a CAP Euro press release, Mr. Gold is expected to lecture on the current state of internet poker, as well as discuss possible future paths for the online poker community. You may remember, Jamie Gold took home nearly $12 million dollars for winning the 2006 WSOP. He was later sued by a friend who claimed Mr. Gold agreed to pay him half of the prize of the money, if he ended up winning.
Jamie Gold is expected to follow legendary poker-star, Doyle Brunson, in the speaking lineup.
Entry in the CAP Euro 2008 in Barcelona is free of charge to all casino affiliates. This time of year in Barcelona provides some of the best weather in Europe, with afternoon temperature high's around 80 degrees farenheit, and lows in middle 60's at night.
In addition to several major industry speakers, the convention will hold its typical webmaster workshops, networking parties, and "Future of the Industry" discussions.
