Gamblers Boycott Kentucky Horse Racing
LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY --
In a move designed to stir the outraged citizenry, Sherman Bradley, head gaming analyst at Online Casino Advisory, has called for a boycott of Kentucky gambling venues, and all products taxed or manufactured in Kentucky.
Bradley's action comes in response to Thursday's decision by Kentucky Judge Thomas Wingate to not dismiss the order requiring the forfeiture of 141 online casino domain names. The order, which was sought by Governor Steve Beshear, is viewed by many legal experts as unconstitutional, out of jurisdiction, and dangerous to the future of the Internet in general.
Bradley has asked other industry organs to help spread the call for boycott, and Online Casino Sphere is proud to urge readers to respect and honor this boycott.
Bradley suggests those opposed to Beshear's Internet censorship refuse to attend or wager on Churchill Down's upcoming live racing schedule, from late October until the end of November. TwinSpires.com, which is an online gambling site not attacked by the Governor due to its Churchill Downs ownership, is also to be boycotted.
Beshear had given protectionism of horse racing, along with lack of state taxation, as the primary reasons for his court actions. Making him realize that gamblers who pay at his regulated state gambling venues also prefer online alternatives is a part of the reasoning behind the boycott, according to Bradley.
Bradley even goes so far as to suggest avoiding Kentucky lotteries, and all other products as best as possible. If the people concerned with the direction of the Kentucky case unite, Beshear should quickly get the message.
